Straight Teeth With No Brackets or Wires

Invisalign has become one of the most popular orthodontic options for adults and teens, and it's easy to see why. The clear, removable aligners are nearly invisible, they come out for meals and social occasions, and treatment fits into everyday life without a lot of disruption.
At Aloha Orthodontics in Mechanicsville, Dr. Hunter Lee is a certified Invisalign provider. If you're looking for a discreet, flexible way to straighten your teeth, a consultation is the best place to find out if Invisalign is the right fit for you.

How Invisalign Works

Treatment begins with a 3D digital scan of your teeth using our iTero scanner. No messy impressions are needed. Dr. Lee uses that scan to map out your complete treatment plan before anything is fabricated, so you can see a preview of your projected results before you even begin.
Once your custom aligners are ready, you'll wear each set for approximately one to two weeks before moving to the next. Most patients come in periodically for progress check-ins and the appointments are typically short because the aligners do the work in between visits. When active treatment is complete, a custom retainer will keep your results locked in.

Why Patients Choose Invisalign

Invisalign offers a combination of flexibility, comfort, and discretion that makes it an appealing option for a wide range of patients. Here are some of the reasons our patients choose it:
Nearly Invisible
The clear aligner trays are designed to be so discreet that most people won't notice you're wearing them. For adults in professional environments or teens navigating social life, that matters.
Removable
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign trays come out for meals, drinks, brushing, and flossing. There are no food restrictions and no special tools required to keep your teeth clean.
Comfortable
The smooth, custom-fit trays are designed without the brackets and wires of traditional braces. Most patients find the transition between trays easy to manage.
Predictable
Invisalign uses advanced digital planning technology to map out your tooth movement before treatment begins. You and Dr. Lee can see where your smile is headed from day one.

Is Invisalign Right for You?

Invisalign works well for most mild to moderate orthodontic cases, including crowded teeth, spacing, overbite, underbite, and open bite. It's a particularly strong fit for adults who want to improve their smile without drawing attention to the process, and for teens who have the consistency to wear the aligners as directed — typically 20 to 22 hours per day.
Some cases, particularly those involving significant bite correction or complex tooth movement, may still be better suited to traditional braces. At your consultation, Dr. Lee will evaluate your smile and give you an honest recommendation on which treatment is right for your situation. If Invisalign is a good fit, we'll tell you. If it's not, we'll tell you that too.
