Invisalign

Invisalign. If you need orthodontic treatment, you do not have to settle for metal brackets. As your Mechanicsville orthodontist, Aloha Orthodontics offers Invisalign® clear aligners as an alternative. These polyurethane aligners are designed to carefully move the teeth into position, just as traditional braces would, but without the unsightly metal.

Using special computer software and pictures of your teeth, we are able to create a series of aligners that you will wear. For approximately two weeks, you will wear one set for a 22 hour minimum each day. When that period of time is up, you will switch the aligners out for the next set. This will continue until you have completed treatment and your teeth are properly aligned.

The Benefits Of Invisalign®

Invisalign® comes with many benefits. When deciding which course of action to take for your treatment, understand these advantages:

  • They Are Removable - This means that when you have a special event to attend, are brushing and flossing, or want to eat, you can take the appliance out of your mouth. Just be sure to put it back in immediately, and always meet your 22-hour minimum each day.Invisalign teen.
  • They Are Discreet - Whether it is a matter of self-image or simply not wanting to talk about treatment, these aligners are nearly invisible.
  • They Are Comfortable - Rather than the metal brackets and wires of traditional braces, you will have smooth, soft plastic rubbing against your cheeks and tongue.
  • They Protect Your Teeth - Invisalign® aligners can act as a night guard for individuals who excessively grind or clench their teeth.
 • They Allow More Dietary Choices - You have no restrictions when it comes to the food you can eat during treatment. Since you can take the aligners out of your mouth while eating, you do not have to worry that something is too hard or too sticky.

It is important to remember that while removing the aligners to eat is a benefit, you always need to brush and floss before putting them back in. You should also brush and rinse the aligners at least once a day.
